TE Gee Scott Jr. (Official Thread)

What I don't understand is that a lot of underrated guys are underrated because they don't go to any camps. He seems to go to one every weekend with a highlight catch coming out of each one.
1) I'm NOT saying that this is the case with Gee, but some guys make highlight plays and mess up routine plays. Don't judge any recruit just by his highlights.

2) This is an historically deep WR class, so Gee has a lot of competition. Being the #13 WR in this class (247 Composite) is not necessarily a slight.

3) Experts like Steve Wiltfong have said that Gee already looks like an NFL receiver, so I would expect him to get a rankings bump sometime soon.

If you have Richard Sherman vouching for you, you're doing something right.

For those who don't have a Twitter machine, Gee Scott Sr co-hosts The John Clayton Show (yes, that John Clayton) in Seattle on ESPN 710AM.

So Jr. probably grew up around the Seahawks (Sr. on the left).

Gotta say, he's no Michael Forcier when it comes to Web design. But few parents are.

He did. In fact, the family is very close friends with former Buckeye (and Seahawk) OL Rob Sims. That's the Ohio State connection.

The 247sports article echoes what @LordJeffBuck stated. Great article on just how close Scott Sr. is with Sims

And apologies for the site the 2nd article comes from, but this is a great article on how close Scott Jr. is with the Seahawks team and how great his work ethic is on and off the field.
Scott Jr. used his father’s connections with the Seahawks to form his own connections with players. He became very close with Golden Tate during the former Irish star’s time in Seattle, but that was before Scott Jr. was serious about football and was more about playing video games than playing football. As he started to take football more seriously, he’s had the opportunity to train with and learn from guys like Doug Baldwin and Sidney Rice.

“One thing about him, he asks a lot of questions,” his father says. “He’s not one of those kids who thinks he knows it all. He’ll ask questions all of the time. He picks the brains of those guys.

I think he's set to be a great player and student for OSU, I don't think ratings will go to his head, as he will always be humbled going up against NFL talent with his connections

24/7 has him 14th and that's still wrong. I don't want to bag on the other kids; I know Hartline is on some of them, but there are not 13 better WRs in this class than Gee.

You'd be hard pressed to find more than 1or 2 that are better than this kid

Heck...we have the #1 receiver and I truly don't know who is better of the two
