WR Kamryn Babb (Official Thread)

The crowd is going to go crazy when he takes the first one to the house this year. It will be an experience in the Shoe he will never forget....

The Big Ten won’t sell tickets to the general public for the games in its fall 2020 season, which the league presidents voted this week to start on Oct. 23.
The conference is currently looking into allowing family members of athletes and staff members to attend games on a campus-by-campus basis, Barbour said.

Just sayin': Let's hope the B1G policy changes and there is a crowd in the B1G stadiums this year to cheer him (and everybody else too) on.

Yeah that was my sarcasm.

With all he’s been through it would be sweet for him to get the love from a full crowd.

With the 2020-doesn't-count thing, it's possible that he could come back next year.

But then:
  1. Will there be crowds next year, and
  2. He might be the B1G's 7th best receiver next year, and also Ohio State's 7th best and thus not see as much PT as he would like

Had to be for his blocking. On Sermon's runs you could see how good wr blocking was.

This. I noticed that he graded champion and it made me think to go back and watch again over the holiday to find his plays. I was glad to see him getting time on the field in this game as I have vivid memories of watching him on the sidelines (injured) in Indy last year and wondering if he was going to stick with the program.

But yeah, for sure... every time I looked at the downfield blocking it was spectacular from every one of them. There's no question about the quality of training that goes on in Brian's room. You have to think that with that kind of training kids are more likely to stick. All they need is a season in the rotation to put up good tape and they are going to be drafted.

Now healthy, Babb was shown working out in photos from the Ohio State football Twitter account, another sign that he’s at full speed heading into spring camp, which is set to begin next Friday.

Entering his fourth season with the Buckeyes — and his second healthy year — Babb will have a battle to earn playing time in the loaded wide receivers room for Brian Hartline. But he knows how to push through adversity, and he’s certainly not afraid of competition. He has plenty to prove this spring, and next week, Babb can begin to do just that.

OSU had a post on IG, and man does he look cut and ready to put in some work. I can see a Johnnie Dixon style last year

Bill Rabinowitz Ohio State announces that cornerback Sevyn Banks and wide receiver Kam Babb are unavailable the rest of the spring

Damn... kid cannot catch a break

For Babb, this injury is another setback in a career of setbacks for the receiver. Babb, now a fourth-year junior, is yet to catch a pass in his college career, despite coming to the Buckeyes as a four-star prospect and the country's 13th best wideout, per the 247Sports Composite, in the 2018 class, due to injuries.

During his high school career at Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri, Babb suffered two season-ending leg injuries. Just weeks after arriving on Ohio State's campus, Babb suffered the first of two season-ending ACL injuries, the second coming in the spring of 2019. Healthy last year, Babb played on offense in three games for the Buckeyes and was also a fixture on special teams.

Just saw this on 11W, so sad if true:
Here is what Birm said on that subject...
"Kamryn Babb’s snakebitten career continues and he will likely miss another season with injury."

But also makes sense why OSU offered the WR from Jackson St.

Geez, feel so bad for the kid if true, especially after he got his body in remarkable shape. After this many injuries and not hitting the field, I worry we're never going to see Babb take the field.
