WR Kamryn Babb (Official Thread)

Hard work, leadership earns six Buckeyes captain status

The leadership group was already clear at Ohio State.

Now the vote from the Buckeyes just makes it official who is setting the tone for the four-time defending Big Ten champions.

The program unveiled its six captains on Friday night as training camp winds down and preparation for the season opener ramps up, electing three players on offense and three on defense.

There was no surprise that multi-year starters Thayer Munford and Chris Olave were chosen, though the inclusion of Kamryn Babb speaks volumes about the way the injured wide receiver attacked his recovery process and the respect the roster has for him. Returning All-American Haskell Garrett was also a lock for the honor, and he’s joined on the defensive side of the ball by linebacker Teradja Mitchell — and a blossoming superstar who has found his voice in Zach Harrison.

Day said in his press conference today that his injury was another torn ACL. I have to think this ends his career. At this point, those knees are going to have to be replaced when he's 25.

Having torn my ACL twice, I can't imagine how it feels the 4th time. My heart goes out to him.

Yeah, it sucks for what his career could've been. But on a bright side, he could jump start his career, and once a Buckeye always a Buckeye. He can still get an NIL deal, some coaching opportunities I'm sure are available to him in the future or focus on whatever field his major is.

Hope he’s talking to Johnnie Dixon, who is on the field with the Dallas Cowboys tonight.

Don’t ever give up. The clock hasn’t run out yet.

Exactly! This kid like Johnnie it’s hard not to root for them. They got there bad breaks but they stay strong and the whole team respects them. That’s not a easy thing to earn.
