I must be the only guy not shocked. He has a rare body at his position that NFL teams will covet. A lot of where or if he gets drafted will come down to his combine numbers. NFL drafts on potential more than if a guy had 80 recs for 750 yards or not.
Everyone here knows I have said we had NFL caliber receivers playing in a shit passing attack. Jerry rice would have struggled to get open with the pos we had called a passing attack.

Surprised he decided to leave but not upset over it. I think he could be one hell of a blocking reciever with his size and I think he hit his ceiling for the most part. With the young talent we have waiting I'm looking forward to seeing how well they step up. We need some people to leave early/transfer to be able to bring in more guys this year and next year. Best of luck to Noah at the next level!

I feel bad but I felt the same way... We need speed and WRs that can separate. Noah was a good possession guy who possesses great size to block but as Leonard from Wisconsin said he's not a guy that has the speed to get on top of you quick.
I look forward to seeing the new guys.. would have been a chain mover no doubt but excited to possibly give some of our field stretchers a shot.

I'll say Jalin is a little different case as it was reported that he did graduate. I can see where some young men think (and rightfully so) it is time to quit being a student and start earning wage (i.e. either in professional football or the corporate world), etc.
It wouldn't surprise me either if he doesn't get drafted. Unless his family has "financial problems" and he wants to help them out, or (assuming he hasn't graduated) he just hates school and/or is on the verge of becoming accidentally ineligible; I just believe that he is making a big mistake.
I'll say Jalin Marshall contributed more than Noah and Jalin wasn't drafted. I'm thinking he has as much or more potential than the other Ohio State receivers, he puts up some big numbers in 2017 and he will go from a late round (or not even selected) in 2017 to a high draft pick in 2018.
Regardless, I wish him well.

i.e. the argument against redshirting players.

Me thinks many will be shocked when hes a day two pick. Tape is better than most think and will test excellent. Big, strong, blocks, good hands....hes a pro wr, scouts will love. I posted a 2018 mock by walter football that had him as a top 15 pick.....thats how positive the buzz is on him.

Noah Brown should part ways with whomever is advising him. Declaring for the 2017 NFL Draft is incredibly shortsighted on his part. Brown had a chance to be a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but as a redshirt sophomore, he's considered a Round 2-3 prospect because he's not ready to contribute right away. Brown has tons of upside, but caught only 32 passes in 2016. He would've gained a lot by returning to Ohio State. Instead, he's in danger of falling into the third round this April.
The Verdict: Bad move
*With his injury past, if he's a 2nd or 3rd rounder.....you go, IMO. But if many in the know think worst case is 3rd round.....he trusts himself, go get paid young man.

Agreed as to Roy Hall, but with better hands. Roy had a cup of coffee with the Colts and maybe Noah will be able to catch on with the right team and have some success. Peculiar thing about this is how effusive Meyer was in praise of Brown (I think of him as a son, etc.) at the beginning of the season, then crickets, both in terms of production and mention. To go from the Okie game to this just doesn't make any sense and makes me wonder where/how things went off of the rails.
