WR Parris Campbell Jr. (Philadelphia Eagles)

IMO Campbell is second in importance only to Barrett in explosive offense output.

Parris might well be the closest to Percy Harvin since Urban was hired and everyone expected Percy Harvin-like production from the position. But his hands and ball security leave a whole lot to be desired.

I think the offense has looked better (more reliable, if less explosive) with KJ Hill being the main guy over Parris.

Have we heard any reason he wasn't returning kicks against Michigan? He looked great to start the season. Got hurt and replaced by Weber. Weber has looked meh as a returner but when Parris got healthy he didn't get the job back.

Him fumble against Penn State probably had a lot to do with him not retaining his kick/punt returning job. Just my guess.

Direct result of concussion issue...highest point of risk is while returning kicks.

This. They aren't going to risk Parris getting another concussion.

I love Mike as a RB, but I'd put someone else back there returning kicks.... just doesn't seem to have it when returning kicks.... appears to run MUCH harder when carrying the ball out of the backfield. (I'll gladly put my foot in my mouth Saturday night, Mike :biggrin2:)

That makes more sense. Sucks thought cause he was a threat to pop it every kick and almost did quite a few times. We've lost that with Weber.

Parris adds a threat that needs to be accounted for when on the field. Whether he gets strung out on jet sweeps or not, the threat is there.

It really opens up the middle of the field when he is in because defenses focus on the boundary.

I thought he was fantastic the first 6 or 7 games. I wouldn't say he was amzing against Michigan, but he served his decoy role well.

I'm excited to see what he brings to the Astro-turf in Indy during Big 10 championship. I love Campbells game even if it's a bit limited. He's a game changer and needs to be accounted for every time he's on field.

The problem is McCall was unavailable due to injury so now they're sitting him in hopes of qualifying for a medical redshirt down the line. Between the injuries Parris suffered and McCall, they're down to their last two options: Weber and Hill.
