WR Roy Hall (Official Thread)

conversations like this are why i hate comparing any player to another. it creates expectations on hype alone instead of letting a player create his own hype with on field performance(high school, college, or practice).

I think Roy Hall might have a confidence problem. There is no question the guy has a hell of alot of talent. He will be fine and has 2 more years to shine. I remember a young Eddie George who wasn't very impressive early in his career. Some people take longer to develope than others. I think the whole offense has been a disappointment and don't see why Hall has been singled out.

Kenny Peterson was probably considered a "dissapointment" before he turned it on his senior year, helped win a National Championship and played his way into the NFL. Roy Hall has all the physical tools to be a great receiver, some guys just get it sooner than others. As it has already been pointed out it's way too early to evaluate him.

First I thought we had a running back problem. Then it was a Quarterback problem. After that it was OL problems. Now its WR problems?

I am reluctant to pass judgement on any specific member of the O until it starts functioning as a unit.

The potential is not a doubt...but the was regarding this season. Based on the numerous posts about the spring game and preseason expectations, this season has not provided the Roy Hall we were expecting.

Good points by OH8

Never mind BJ Sander, who went from OSU "disappointment" to All-American and Ray Guy Award winner...to Packers "disappointment".
