Looking forward to seeing him play and see what he's got. Was hoping to see what he could do on Columbus but never happened.

Yeah I think that is correct; however, he can declare for the draft after the 2017 season......:biggrin2:

I might root for Gibson; however, I'll never root for the Bearcraps.

  7. I was looking forward to seeing him play at Ohio State. Blah. I'm sure it was best decision for him and will also be rooting for him. Could be huge for Luke.

Cincinnati has always been called the Queen City...

As for Gibson, UC is in a conference that he doesn't really have to hone his QB skills too much to be a threat in the AAC. His athleticism should carry him to a number of wins. Good for Torrance, though I believe his future is at WR...

Wasn't expecting his career highlight to be a reverse for a short touchdown in a spring game but oh well

    Happy for the kid.

He needed a fresh start and happy to see him get a crack at QB.

Juggalos taking another shot at the flagship university. Maybe Fickell can step in and stop some of this crap.

The long-awaited college football debut of former five-star recruit Torrance Gibson could be pushed back yet another season.

In an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, new University of Cincinnati football coach and former Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell spoke about life in the Queen City, establishing a recruiting base and getting his family settled. He also said that ex-Buckeye Gibson's status with his program is "undetermined," though the quarterback is enrolled in summer classes.
According to Fickell, Gibson looks in line for a redshirt season in 2017, the second in his college career. Fickell, however, sees a lot of former Ohio State star quarterback and current Washington Redskins wide receiver Terrelle Pryor in Gibson.

    Entire article:

Correct me if I'm wrong; but you only get 5 years to play 4 unless there is a "medical issue".

Besides doesn't he have to sit out a year after transferring?

ShowMeBuck You know what? Chicken butt.

Why is none of this surprising? Not bashing the kid at all. And I wish him the best. Just saying that my gut feeling of his college path is playing out how I feared it would when I followed his recruitment. I just kept hearing warning signs that makes all of this non surprising.

Would love to see the guy get it all together. He doesn't seem like a bad guy/troublemaker type. Just maturity issues?
