Doug Nester (OL Virginia Tech, transfer to West Virginia)

A 5 star recruit from WV is pretty rare I grew up across the river from WV and the only time I can remember a highly rated recruit was Josh Jenkins in 2007 or somewhere around then that went to WVU I believe. Nice pick up for 2019!

Our last big time recruit from WVA, albeit not a five star, (apologies if I've forgotten someone else) did pretty well:

Elite 11 Nashville: Top performers

1.Doug Nester, OT, Huntington (W.V.) Spring Valley – The Ohio State commit is a massive, wide-bodied offensive lineman and as part of a really good OL group, Nester was one of the most consistent both as a tackle and a guard.

Supposedly checked in at 6-7 320 lbs. '19 OL recruiting looks to be in very good shape with Nester and Jacoby in and the Buckeyes trending positively for Trevor Keegan (The Bank with a CB to OSU today). Then they can chase guys like Darnell Wright, Devontae Dobbs, Zeke Correll, Xavier Truss, etc. to round out the class.
