Doug Nester (OL Virginia Tech, transfer to West Virginia)

Visited Virginia Tech yesterday to take in their game.

Hope he stays with the Buckeyes.
He reminds me of Josh Myers - a tackle against mostly bad competition in HS who is almost certainly destined to play inside in college (at least at Ohio State).

Edit: and I see now he has actually been moved to being listed as a G by 247.

So the question is - does Ohio State need another body on the inside?

Another factor is how early he committed in the cycle - before summer camp evaluations and senior season film.

It would not surprise me at all if Ohio State and Nester are moving in separate directions.

Might as well be a decommitment IMO.

With what a "decommitment" means, or a "commitment" for that matter, sure. It isn't good news. But it means that a senior in high school needs to reconsider given a very big change of events right before he makes a huge life decision without a "#pleaserespectmydecision #god" tweet. I would also imagine Nester does not wind up in Columbus, but can't blame him either way for needing some more time to think about it given the circumstances.

If I'm an O-Line recruit to Ohio State and I'm not sure who the O-Line Coach will be after the Rose Bowl, why do I really care. HC Ryan Day will have a great O-Line Coach at Ohio State because tOSU commands the very best. My attitude is: Yes, I can, Yes I will, I'm here, I'm ready to get to work, Let's Go!!!!

I know, other people just don't think like me so what will be, will be.

Pretend it’s 3 years ago and you’re a LB recruit.

I think it makes sense with uncertainty, and I think Studrawa is average, so ever if he stays it's not like a homerun sell. Hopefully they can keep Nester.
