WVU Call's out OSU...hijacking at 1:30

King, who is back for WVU's defense? I honestly know very little about WVU. I remember the LB Wiley(hard nosed) and Pac-Man or whatever the hell it was. Seriously, you should walk the Big East now, but what would be your prediction if the ACC didn't help WVU hit the lottery?

The defense has some questions this year. Wiley is playing for the Minnesota Vikings now. Pac-Man Jones is back again and he will be one of our better starters at cornerback. Offensively, we're great and we should put allot of points on the board. Some polls have us finishing as high as 5th and it's because of our very weak schedule (Maryland is our best game). Allot of people give us crap about the weak schedule, but we didn't forsee Miami and VT leaving and we had to fill holes in the schedule. It's tough scheduling things the last minute.

Sure enough, the Big East is looking bad in football. Basketball is looking great though and may be the nation's top league. Football on the other hand is seriously lacking. I'm hoping Pitt and Syracuse step up to the plate. Louisville is a nice addition. The jury is still out on Cincy and USF. Allot of people wanted ECU and Marshall in the Big East. I like ECU but they've been horrible the past few years. Marshall wouldn't be a bad pick up though. WVU fans still see them as the little brother and they get very little respect. People said that even with Miami and VT we were the 6th best conference in the nation. Even though we lost them, we're still probably the 6th best in the nation.

The Big East retains a BCS birth for several more years. If we don't keep a team in the top 12 and eligible for the BCS, then we go under some type of review period for four years. So we can show up for a BCS bowl until 2009. I'm hoping by then that Louisville and some of the others are pretty good.

I would have loved for WVU to have gone into the ACC but I don't think we were even invited. Maybe it had something to do with us screwing our sisters. Seriously though, they wanted Miami, and some people at UVA and the governor of Virginia fought for Virginia Tech to get in. Then as you know, BC was invited later on. Allot of WVU fans hate VT for going to the ACC after they said they'd never leave. I can't say I blame VT but they'd have a better chance for a BCS if they'd have stayed on the Big East.

There were also some ramblings of Vandy getting kicked from the SEC and WVU being invited in - but that WILL NEVER HAPPEN. The Big East's best bet would be to get Notre Dame to sign on for football but I doubt that will happen for a long time. I personally feel that if they don't get in for football, then they need to get out for all of the other sports. They bring in allot of money though.

I guess we'll have to see how it all plays out.

Over the long haul, I see UC being a better addition than Marshall or ECU would be. Like you said, ECU has been horrible. UC is another addition that helps the Big East take over the top B-Ball conf, from the ACC. Plus, UC has grown their football program over the past few years and, IMO, will continue to grow their football program. Look for Dantonio and the Bearcats to be a middle of pack team for a few years, then, watchout.
