Your reaction at that time?

The penalty call in our NC game.
Where were you and what was your reaction after the play and before the penalty was called?

I remember jumping up and down going ape [censored] and then what. WTF. Had a stack of newspapers next to my chair that got flung all over the place.

Then the 4th down play.

After you guys scored a TD in the next overtime. Miami has 4th and goal and we got stopped.

Where were you?

I remember laying down on my living room floor said a prayer then after the play just bowed my head down in disbelief. I don't think i moved for 3 days.

No flame intended this was a subject on a miami board before just want to hear that moment and reaction from some Buckeye fans.

I was in the very living room I now sit. When the 4th down pass to Gamble fell incomplete, I - who had been standing the whole game, more or less - fell to my knees, and then ended up laying flat on the ground before I heard "Late flag"

When Ohio State stopped Miami, I was jumping around and celebrating... basically acting like a 8 year old... went out side to enjoy the sound of fire crackers being set off around town... yelled OH at my neighbors.... then, after settling down a hair, I came back inside and watch replays and interviews until about 3:30 am.

Not the topic im trying to discuss.

I feel your pain.

I don't remember what my reaction was during the play.

I think my reaction after the game was "That was great but now what." I was not used to being in that position at the end of the year. After feeling such lows after another Cooper year disapointment, I was expecting the reaction to winning to be bigger that what it was. I think that game had so much excitement that the reaction afterwards could not live up to what happened on the field.

Cooper= Coker. Uggh

I can bicker about he PI call all day. I say good job to the coaching staff. Unlike the 01 team that had Mount McKinney and Gonzalez at tackle you guys were the first to see that and made us pay.. We adjusted McGahee was getting going then got hurt and that was brutal. How Carson Palmer won the Heisman that year is still baffling.

My very first thought was - fantastic.

I knew then that a decade later the entire Miami fan base would be stuck in time trying to get over a call that was made by an authorized official performing his normal capacity in managing a football game.

After the game Winslow Senior (in an extremely bush move) asked JT on camera what his definition of PI was. Jt's answer was spot on then and says it all now.

"PI is when the man in the striped shirt throws one of those flags."

I will be at the game on the 11th wearing my 2002 NC gear. I fully expect to see some Miami fans in their "Robbery in the Desert" gear. Each time I see one I will rub a fist under my eye and say "Waah, Waah, Waah!"

Sure, I have a different perspective. But for God sakes get the fuck over it.

And don't say this isn't what this thread is about because there is no other reason a Miami fan would ask this question.

Maybe I'll be proved wrong as things go, and there is a track record here, of course... but.. the thread looks legit to me, and the Miami poster has tried to stay on point....

perhaps, you've convinced me to play along

I don't remember what happened throughout the game other than not sitting down the entire time, after the game was over I ran outside with everyone else and rolled around in the snow for I don't know how long

During the play, like over half the game I was screaming for pass interference, then when the flag came out I think I had my 3rd or 4th heart attack of the night.

When the game was over had my 5th or 6th heart attack of the night and proceded to jump around like a little school girl and the party I was at started passing around a bottle of Jack and I took a celebratory chug (or two or three).

After another hour of celebrating at the party I walked home and went online to read reactions and checked my email. Which was a pretty smart thing as I drunk replied to this girl that answered my Match.com ad that I thought I had discontinued since I was kinda seeing this girl (or should I say just banging this chick)

4 years later I married that girl I drunk replied to that night and my son just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. So who knows what would have happened if that flag didn't get thrown...
