It is bullshit, so yeah I am going to be a stickler when it comes to facts like him punching her in the face. Didn't happen.

Didn’t even read all of this. I got about halfway down before I determined I agree with what you are saying. I’d have been sad had Urban lost his job over this and no, football doesn’t mean more than the rest. I also would have understood if Urban lost his job over his poor judgement. I, too, grew tired of the “Urban is a wife beater enabler” narrative. I don’t believe for one second that Urban knew that ZS was beating his wife and chose to look the other way. There is a reason he still has his job. I understand the importance of no charges having been filed against ZS. It kind of ties Urban’s hands a bit. Sure, Urban could have chosen not to renew ZS contract on multiple occasions but I also am buying in to the belief that Urban thought he was best helping the Smiths out by keeping them under his wing. Fucking bonehead move, it turns out, and one Urban is going to pay for for a while but I don’t think Urban thought, “well he’s beating his wife but I’m going to keep him employed.” He’ll no. ZS performance was never worth keeping him around had that been the case. You don’t sell your soul for $3.50.

Yeah. That’s kinda how it all went down so I deserve that.

When I saw the picture, it was a response to the question of what there was to see. Her face looks like it’s been through something. Now that something has plenty of disputes, I get it. I don’t want to be grouped in to the pitchfork mafia that wants ZS burned for beating his wife while Urban videotaped. As one of my posts above state, I don’t think Urban had any knowledge of ZS hitting (or whatever) CS. That makes no sense. But make no mistake about it, ZS likely got physical in one way or another with CS and there is no excuse, not even if CS shit in the man’s cereal. That fires me up and I get a little touchy about that. I don’t see any disputes about throwing her in to a wall while pregnant. That’s just as bad to me. Having the wall do his punching for him doesn’t make make him any more the better person. Seriously, it may not seem like it but I’m ready to move on from all of this. Urban was suspended, ZS was fired, the University has its black eye for all of this no matter how much or how little it is deserved. @FCollinsBuckeye said it best about not seeing this thread bumped. I’ll do my part and quit posting in here. It doesn’t seem like any good is coming from discussing this situation any further.

I can't find any updates through online searches. Has the hearing happened yet? I really figured that someone in the media would be on that because we might find answers to some unanswered questions. It seems the sports media has forgotten about that story they were so obsessed about a month before the season started.

This is another reason OSU should never have allowed themselves to get baited into a big to do over this matter. It was all too predictable that college football nation would forget the story as soon as the season started. OSU made it more of a story than it ever should have been and irreparably damaged not only Meyer's reputation but the university's as well. But that's beside the point. I've shared that opinion before.

But seriously, what's up with Zach's hearing? Can we get some official confirmation on whether or not it was a setup by Courtney? Can we find out from the Powell police how often they were called to the Smith household? If the charges are dismissed, which I'd be willing to bet they will be, will anyone tell us?

I hate that I'm posting in this thread, but I also must point out that that we, as Ohio State fans, deserve no answers. This is all water under the bridge as far as OSU is concerned. Picking up the pieces or otherwise resolving a messy divorce between two apparently awful spouses is a private matter and I hope OSU isn't dragged though anymore of this shit.
