  1. LB Curtis Grant (National Champion)

The part that gives me hope is that he really seemed to connect with Coach Tressel and appreciate his style of recruiting. I am hoping that Jabari Gorman jumps on board soon. It can't hurt that Grant is related to Shazier.
  2. OL Tommy Brown (transfer to Akron)

Your prayer is answered. Welcome to the Buckeye family. There is nothing better than getting talented players who love the Buckeyes.
  3. '11 AZ WR/CB JeRyan Butler (South Dakota State Signee)

If you have any questions about getting the tape out there you might want to contact Mark Porter at Scouting Ohio. I'm sure he would be willing to give you any advice. I'm still pulling for JeRyan to land an OSU offer.
  4. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I love where OSU stands at DB and S. In a doomsday scenario where Grant went to Michigan St and all the Florida boys stayed home, I still think Gambrell, Tanner, Williamson, and Hardy are outstanding prospects. If think OSU will probably take 5 secondary players (3 safeties, 2 corners). I like...
  5. DE Jamel Turner (Butler Community College; transfer to Akron)

Turner is definitely gone from Fork Union, but no one is talking. Obviously, there is something that happened. It could have been something that Jamel did, or it may be his decision to leave. A "source" says that there is plan in place for Jamel and Ohio State is on board. We shall see how this...
  6. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

At this point in the recruiting season, I'm surprised we have not heard more about Eilar Hardy, Donovan Clark, AJ Jordan, and Brad Carrico. I love the skills of Hardy and I am shocked that he does not have an offer. I thought Donovan Clark would get more of a look on the OL or DL. I have heard...
  7. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I hope we have a better shot at landing Miller or Grant. When I look at Braxton and Cardale, I still think Cardale has a much higher ceiling. I wouldn't mind have two back-to-back 6'5 QBs that can run. I am a little turned off by the fact that Braxton is taking so much time. He is the one...
  8. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

What is everyone's thought of Donovan Clark? I thought he would be one of the ones with an early offer. I thought he would get a look at DT, but probably end up on the OL.
  9. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Thanks for the info and keep up the good work. It might not be what OSU fans want to hear, but I always appreciate those that shoot it straight.
  10. 2011 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I see that you have Trey Depriest as 90% confidence to Alabama? I thought the conventional wisdom was that he was a slight OSU lean, with Bama nipping at our heels. IMO, it would be a huge blow to a school that refers to themselves as LBer U, to lose the top LBer instate.
  11. DB/LB Chad Hagan (official thread)

Great story! Glad he will be able to play football. How can you not root for him to succeed?
  12. WR Corey "Philly" Brown (Official Thread)

The comparisons may not be that far off. Brown was very highly regarded and then he lost some steam after the injury. Don't kid yourself, we got one heck of a prospect!!
  13. Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

Haven't heard too much on the recruiting front from Lemarcus. I guess we will find out a lot more when he comes to visit the Shoe on September 12th. I hope the boys are ready to put on a show. If OSU can regain the lead after the visit then we should have a great shot, if not then LJ is probably...
  14. '10 FL DB Keion Payne (Miami Verbal)

Not very tall, but I love how physical he is against opposing WRs. It also looks like he has great instincts and an awareness where the football is at all times. This is a great offer. I hope we have a chance here. I love that we are getting in on more secondary players so if others choose...
  15. Joshua Shaw (official thread)

I am still hoping Nasty Nate moves over to OLB. I think he can make a Cie Grant type of transition. As for Shaw, he would be the second biggest surprise in the class with James Louis being #1. I really thought OSU would have a down year in recruiting, but it appears (still not getting my...
  16. '10 CA S Dietrich Riley

You can pencil in Christian Bryant as our second safety in the class, but it looks like the staff wants 3. Lemarcus Joyner is the natural choice, however, FSU is currently leading for Joyner. Especially if Joyner goes elsewhere (or even if not), Riley would be a nice "consolation" prize. He...
  17. Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

I would still be worried about all the violations that have taken place at FSU. I understand that their punishment will not be severe, but the NCAA will eventually catch enough heat that they will once again hand out the death penalty to a school. SEC schools along with FSU would certainly be on...
  18. WR T.Y. (Tyrone) Williams (official thread)

Maybe his we did not hear about his offer because Devin Gardner burned it and claimed it was his.:D I like the offer. We need a big WR and Williams fits the mold. I feel he can become a Jarrett-Mike Williams type of pass catching threat.
  19. '10 MI DE/TE William Gholston (Michigan State signee)

If true, Congrats to Williams Gholston! I hope he considers this Buckeye offer, but the consensus was that he is headed for East Lansing. Perhaps the offer gives him pause. Let's hope so. Assuming Turner is still on board, I would love a DE class of Durham, Turner, Moore, and Gholston.
  20. Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Being stuck on the west coast for college football season has been depressing. When it comes to college football there are no better fans than Buckeye fans. Ohio may not have the beaches, women, and weather of Florida, but the girls in Columbus are...
