'07 AZ OL Kris O'Dowd (Southern Cal Signee)

didn't he just participated the nike camp held recently at u$c? i know some players would attend multiple camps at a same location. does it usually have any implications of the player's true interest?

IMO, (base on NO insights) i predict that o'dowd WILL be a heartbreaker. i feel less confident now than i did 2 wks ago. just don't feel the vibe from him as i would hope. hope that i'm wrong.

Kristofer was actually at the Scout.com camp, not the Nike Camp. And, he didn't interact with any of the USC coaches because it is apparently against the rules. The purpose of going to the Scout.com camp was to "qualify" for the Army All-American game and not to visit any schools.

As for the Senior Camp, Kristofer intended to attend OSU's camp; however, my plans changed and I am unable to take him to the camp. I am an attorney and have a large transaction closing on June 23. That said, I have been in contact with Tressell and Bollman trying to find a good time to visit. Along those lines, not attending the June 23 camp will actually be better because Coach Bollman will be available beginning in mid July (i.e., he is still recovering from surgery).

As for the June 27 USC camp, it is a one day camp with a $137 14-day advance ticket. The flight is short enough that it is a day trip ... meaning, no hotel costs. If Columbus was a day trip at $137 I would send him out every other week for the next couple of months. Unfortunately, it is not ... please note that the Columbus experience is $900 in plane tickets plus or minus (two people) and that's before car rental, hotel, feeding the giant in a restaurant, etc.

All my rambling aside, Kristofer will be in Columbus for an unofficial visit in late July/ early August to spend time with Bollman, Tressell, and a few of the OL.

Thanks for the info, BigBro. Is Kris still planning on taking an official visit to CBus as well?

Thanks for the info and good luck on the "big transaction."

Geez, that's about 30 tacos or so here. How many calories a day does he get?
I'm not certain about the calories, but i would guess 4,000 plus calories per day. And, he has 12-15 items from taco bell at a time. He used to eat like a normal person and he couldn't gain any weight (i.e., he was stuck at 280) and his strength wasn't increasing. Once he started eating like a giant, he started gaining weight and muscle mass ... he has gained 35 pounds since last Summer when he was at OHST.

i appreciate your response and the update very much, bigbro. also i wish to apologize for being a pessimist in my earlier comments. i didn't intended for my posts to be tainted with the "sky is falling" sentiment. regardless of kris' eventual decision, i will wish him the best wherever he goes.

by the way, good luck on the 23rd! close the deal and toast those champaign glasses!

No worries ... recruiting is stressful for all involved, including fans.

As for my closing, I am merely a hired gun ... no champagne for me ... I would rather have been in Columbus at the football camp.
