From BSB...Ryan is hearing from several schools for both sides of the ball. He has been to almost all of the Michigan home games this year and he has been to one Michigan State game.

you must be a bucknuts regular

so that means you must be right, o-linemen do not have to have good speed to block fast d-liiners or lb'ers

You have to be quick to block lineman. But quickness refers to lateral movement, not how you can run in a straight line. Nothing that can't be improved easily in strength and conditioning anyway. If anything, offensive lineman have their 40 times skewed even more than runningbacks and recevers.

A recruited lineman from my alma mater this year (who will go unnamed) is pretty good. He is a good drive blocker, and is set up to be a gaurd in college. I talked to some people who played with him before graduating, and said when he went to one of the combines, he ran a 5.8 40 time. I turn around to look at scout/rivals "40" time, and it says he ran a 5.0. 40 times for lineman are easily improved and adjusted. It's more a matter of how fast you can scoot around side to side.

From the MSU site...Illinois and Ball State recently offered. Iowa and Cincny have also been in touch. He is camping at Michigan and they have told him an offer is waiting for him once he gets there. He will also camp at MSU. No mention of OSU.

Moving this to the '07 forum...there seems to be little mutual interest.
