None taken! If you are right....I certainly haven't heard that....could you quote a source for that 40-time? If true....man I am gonna be really excited about this one too. The reason for my skepticism about that time would be that I would've expected more "blue-chip" teams to come after him!

I think there are other issues on this one, once they are cleared up, I bet Quan sees a ton of offers.

that is flat out one of the most impressive highlight tapes your are EVER going to see, the explosion, power, motor, and speed are unreal

I am now on the bandwagon as well. He does look very impressive....looks faster than the 4.9 for certain. I did read somewhere that he runs a 4.7...I don't know about the 4.48 someone quoted above. The reason for a lack of scholarship offers as of now is becoz he needs to improve his academic standing.

Which is something he has been doing and is on pace to be in fine academic standing if he keeps it up...
Wade, are you of the understanding that he can have his academic standing solidifed by the end of this(junior) school year, or is this a situation that could keep him in limbo well into next year, and late in the recruiting cycle?

Is Quanthony in the similar mold, style of play of that player from Kentucky a few years ago? I think his name is Micah, or something like that.

Micah Johnson. He's not quite as big (Johnson was like 270 or so, wasn't he?) and probably faster, but it's still possible that he out-grows LB. I'd actually compare him to Muauluga from USC...he's about 260 or so and still fast enough to play LB. As long as Fletcher keeps his speed, he shouldn't have move.

Rivals $

3/18

From the WVU site...has offers from UCF, Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida but says he would prefer to leave the state. Talks about his interest in WVU and his skills on the field.

Game film: Great size is obvious but I think he might outgrow the LB position personally. He has great instincts and straight line speed, but his sideline to sideline speed is sub par imo. He hits like a truck and gets in the backfield in a hurry. Video didn't really show his ability to get off blocks. I like Quan the best out of uncommitted LB's outside of Dorian Bell but I'm not positive we offer. If we do, it may be as a LEO or future DE. Grad, 40, and wade can add some imput as well.

Reminds me a lot of Larry Grant, but not sure if he has the overall speed that Grant had...With that I agree with everything you said, besides LEO being in his future, unless he grows a couple inches...
