'10 FL CB Cody Riggs (Florida Verbal)

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2010 - ESPN
ESPNU 150 cornerback Cody Riggs discusses his favorite

Cody Riggs (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) spoke about his favorite, Florida, with ESPN affiliate Web site GatorCountry.com.

"Florida really stands out to me. I just feel like they have the most to offer out of all the schools, as far as life style and campus and other stuff. I really like [cornerbacks] Coach Vance Bedford and obviously they are the national champions."

"Also, seeing Urban Meyer sign a new contract means that he obviously isn't going anywhere, which was a big plus for me. And, I know that as a Gator when you are done playing football you're going to have a ton of opportunities within state of Florida."

Riggs also has Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Florida State also in his top five and plans to take his official visits.

"After I take my visits I'll know where I want to go. Every school has different things to offer, so I just want the place where I feel the most comfortable. I'm looking at things like the players and if could I see myself playing with them for four years. Also, I want a coaching staff that I know will be there for my whole time, whether that is three, four or five years."

Off track a little......but that quote kinda stood out to me.

In the state of Florida, your pie is AT LEAST split 3 ways. In the state of Ohio, a Buckeye basically have all the pie to himself.

I was under the impression that Florida didn't have a state income tax.

As a Buckeye when you are done playing football you're going to have a ton of opportunities no matter where you go. That is the difference I noticed.

Understood. But since he was quoted to speak in a regional (state) sense, I was just trying to point out the difference between the 2 states/scenario.
