Unless things change real soon, Dorsey may commit to WVU sooner than later.

Michigan State offered Dorsey today, but West Virginia has moved out in front on his list. This could potentially shake things up, but if things stay the way they are, the Mountaineers could get a commit real soon. I'll keep you all posted.

Hopefully MSU can get him and Rogers on campus again and can shake things up in regards to Dorsey committing to WVU.

Any movement here Worm? I see on Rivals that he's scheduled to be at WVU's spring game today-could he pull the trigger? Or might he possibly attend MSU's game next week?

WVU is having the hardest time holding on to commits...they had three verbals over the weekend that flipped to Marshall...and all three were from Florida. Then they had Davion Rogers flip for Michigan...and Dorsey and Brunetti are looking around.

This is one of the more interesting statements I've read in my time following recruiting.

Yeah, commitments mean absolutely nothing now to a lot of kids. WVU has had somehting like 9 decommitments thus far in their 2010 class. That is absurd.

To be fair to some of the kids, many of them are pressured (heavily) to make a choice before they are ready and/or feel comfortable in doing so. There are some kids who could probably handle recruiting better, but if I had to place the blame soley on a single source, it would be the college coaches who are hammering these kids to decide.

Specifically in WVU's case, you also have to take into account that Holliday, their star recruiter, just left for Marshall. Anytime a successful recruiter makes a change, it's bound to affect some of the kids he secured pledges with.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't WVU push kids to commit, though?

I can't really feel sorry for a team that pushes a kid to make a huge decision, then he backs out and changes his mind because he was rushed originally.

Finally some good news for Mountaineer fans:

Mike Dorsey holds firm with the Mountaineers
Despite recent interest in Michigan State, three-star outside linebacker Mike Dorsey will play his college football in Morgantown.

Although I would still be holding my breath if I lived in Morgantown until the ink is dry...
