If they do offer a RB (which I still think is unlikely but possible), I would love to see it be this kid...

By BK...OSU requested film earlier this week...has offers from the likes of USC, Florida, Washington, Pitt, Iowa, Illinois, Rutgers, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Boston College, Northwestern, Cincinnati and Duke...will try to visit OSU if they offer.

I've got plans to go see BMcD take on Kevin Snyder (Rutgers offer) and Cumberland Valley. Lots of talent in the Harrisburg area this year.

Glad to see a thread for this kid....even if we don't end up offering.

I'm just wondering, can this kid play other positions besides RB? We're gonna go at least 4 deep at RB for the next few years and that couldn't work in our favor with RBs. That's why I thought the staff started to shy away from R Shell and A Wasanga(at least it seems that way).

Pittsburgh it is....

Touted running back Jameel Poteat makes decision for Pittsburgh

Four-star tailback Jameel Poteat of Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.) has announced his Class of 2011 choice for the Big East Panthers.

Considered No. 18 among running backs nationally by ESPNU, his finalists were Pittsburgh, Iowa, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Connecticut and the USC Trojans. Among his other offers were Notre Dame, Florida, Temple, Tennessee, Illinois and Minnesota.

ESPN's Billy Tucker said of the news, "Pitt had great success pounding the rock with Dion Lewis last fall and have another future load-back in Poteat."

"The thickly-built, in-state prospect has the every-down qualities you look for at the next level and should be able endure a high amount of carries for Panthers. The chunk of his yards will likely stem from hard downhill running between the tackles where has demonstrated good power and a strong running base at the high school level."

"Like Lewis, Poteat is not a homerun threat with great top-end speed but is sturdy, durable and should still be able to carry over some of his great high school production if used in a similar high carry role."

As a junior, Poteat (5-foot-10, 195-pounds) carried 269 times for 1,664 yards (6.2 average) and 24 touchdowns while also catching 25 passes for 252 yards (10.1 average) and four more scores.

Pittsburgh now has 11 commitments.
