PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, Pa.) rising junior linebacker Deaysean Rippy is poised to be one of the Keystone State's top prospects in the Class of 2012, coming off of a sophomore season in which he totaled 77 tackles and seven sacks. The 6-1, 190 pounder, who has already picked up verbal scholarship offers from Penn State and Pitt, showed well at Saturday's Pittsburgh Nike Combine, clocking a 4.79 40 and a 4.5 shuttle. By Farrell...considered one of the best players in PA regardless of class...early leaders are Florida, Pitt and Ohio State...has verbal offers from top three plus West Virginia, Syracuse, Maryland and Penn State...plans to visit OSU soon.

It's a shame we won't be able to field a linebacker unit this season because of Jordan Hicks ending up at Texas.
