After coming up one win short of a national championship last season, two-time Big Ten champ Ohio State has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2007-08 season.

While the Buckeyes will tack on two additional conference games to their 18-game Big Ten schedule, they'll also have a challenging non-conference slate that features games at Tennessee, Butler and Cleveland State.

"Our 2007-08 schedule will be exciting for our fans for sure," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said. "This schedule will certainly help us prepare for the conference schedule and postseason competition."

But what fans in Columbus are really itching about is Ohio State's Dec. 22 rematch with two-time national champion Florida at Value City Arena.

Men's basketball: Buckeyes will play VMI in St. John Arena

A return to historic St. John Arena and rematches at home against Florida and North Carolina highlight the Ohio State men's basketball team's nonconference schedule this season.

The Buckeyes will play host to Virginia Military Institute on Nov. 25 in St. John Arena, where they have played only once since moving to Value City Arena in 1998.

Buckeyes' entire hoops season to be televised

The Ohio State men's basketball team is coming to a TV near you. Every Buckeyes game this season will be televised on one of the following: CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or the Big Ten Network.
Ohio State opens Nov. 12 against Wisconsin-Green Bay in the preseason NIT and could play up to four games in the event.

Many OSU basketball games on Big Ten Network

The Big Ten Network will show at least 11 and as many as 15 of the Ohio State men's basketball team's regular-season games, according to the schedule the conference released yesterday.

The only Ohio State games currently scheduled on "free TV" are Dec. 22 against Florida, Jan. 19 at Tennessee, Feb. 10 against Indiana and Feb. 17 against Michigan -- all on CBS.

A chance to see the team for free in a scrimmage on Oct. 20th.

Men's Basketball: The OSU men's basketball team has scheduled a public scrimmage from noon until 1:00 PM on October 20 prior to the OSU homecoming football game.

The scrimmage will be held on the main floor of the Value City Arena.

Admission is free.

Is the scrimmage going to be just the team I guess? (They aren't bringing in some team to play are they? To be honest I think it'd be cool if they'd pull a Harlem Globetrotters and throw out a real, albeit terrible, team out there and just have fun and dunk a lot haha.)

But then again, if they are just scrimmaging themselves we get to see more buckeyes out on the floor at one time.

Either way, I absolutely can't wait!
