Great job for the Americans today. Kim, indeed, is a force to be reckoned with. Reminds me of a young Hal Sutton in a way, and hope he delivers the way Hal did back in 1999.

I love these International competitions, and just watching these guys play for their country and not for a paycheck. For many players, this is more intense than any tourney they may be in. It's why I always loved John McEnroe. Johnny Mac with all his wins, to this day would tell anyone interested that Davis Cup was his top priority, and was one of the, if not the greatest Davis Cup player of all time.

GO USA!!!!!!!!!!!!

U S A!!!!!!!!!

Cork and Kerry treated you well I see.

That back nine today was amazing. JL chipping in, Boo chipping in, Mahan dropping bombs. This is the future. Zinger is playing Faldo like a fiddle right now, just like he did when they played each other. He made his picks and has paired them so well. JL and Mahan are both from Texas and play the same game. Boo and JB are both hillbillys that hit it a ton. Phil needed some young blood and Kim gave it to him. Too bad Ben Curtis (the ohio boy) shot his load today, otherwise this would be over. Hopefully this carries over till the end. I believe this is the first time USA has had the lead after day 1 since 1995.

You are correct about that.

I love watching the ryder cup, it's like the World Cup of Golf. Should be a great next 2 days. I can't believe that Faldo is benching Sergio and Westwood on Saturday's matches.

Watching Boo's matches yesterday just made me laugh. Everytime he did something good all you'd here is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I thought I was at a OSU pep rally or something

USA! USA! USA! USA!

Looking at those pairings, hopefully the USA does not need points in the last few matches or they are toast.

yeah, i think he did that on purpose. you don't want the cup to be lost after the first 8 matches becuase that would take your studs out of it. i like putting the big guys out early and trying to jump on them.

i love seeing sergio get heckled. he's such a choker. just dropped two in the water from about 200 yards and Kim was pumping up the crowd. only in the ryder cup!
