So you're saying Illinois still has a chance?

Way to go, ladies! Didn't expect a beatdown of this magnitude. I didn't get to see the game, but it sounds like the Illini decided to single cover Lavender. That worked out well.

Also loved Shavelle's line - only 3 points in 19 minutes, but 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 8 steals!

After 2 games, Northwestern is already the only other undefeated team in conference play and is off to an 11-2 start, though they haven't really beaten anyone of note. We play them Thursday, so we'll see if they're for real. Sparty dropped their second in a row to start the season, to the Wisconsin squad that pushed us in our first conference game.

I wonder what's going on with Schultze. She started out the season on fire but has not scored much recently. I thought she was going to be one of our three-point threats the way she started out but now she doesn't even look like a 2 point threat. Just hard to understand what's going on with her.

Sarah Schulze is definitely in a shooting slump........but I was glad to see that she keeps shooting 3's as I believe coach Foster has told her to do. When she starts to hit 2 or 3 in a row her confidence will return......We are going to need her shot if we are going to be really good. Meanwhile she was very active on defense and collected 7 rebounds.

I know that I am being redundant but this team will go no further unless they can consistently has some type of presence from three point land. One game they are fine and the next game it's back to poor shooting and with Schulze now on the shelf for a little while things might get worse before they get better.

Michigan State next Saturday will be a very tough game because they have someone who can play Lavender one-on-one. It would have to be nationally televised:(
