Regarding Forcier....TIFWIW

Tate Injury | mgoblog

I talked to him last night at the Fifth Quarter and he said he has a AC joint sprain and a big bruise. He said he injured himself like this before in high school and he couldn't throw until Friday of that week.

He was in obvious pain and wouldn't shake anyones hand with his right arm. We'll see, but its a little more serious than just a "bruise". That being said, he looked fine throwing the ball on that last TD pass to Odoms.

Scout.com: Forcier
Forcier

LOL, Timmy Staudt just said on the radio he has two different sources at the University of Michigan who have told him Forcier (shoulder) is out for this game next Saturday.

LOL, didn't we hear this same b.s. the week of the 2007 game about Henne and son of a gun Chad Henne came out and played, and played pretty damn well if I recall correctly?

I would tell Dantonio and the boys, plan on the Tater being out there for sure. Hearing Staudt say this sealed the deal. Jebus, what a fool Timmy is.
RR has a press conference today.

Vegas seems to know something:
Live Scores, Live Odds and Game Matchups

A 2.5 pt line seems a bit low. Not that this rivalry is not close most years, but given the Tate rumors, you have to wonder if those are factored in here.

That line is a little low, but doesn't seem to bad to me. If I'm not mistaken the home team is usually given 3 points, so if you add that on it has Michigan at -5.5 and that's probably the most optimal line to get money on both teams. I could easily see a 35-31, 28-24 type game and that might be what Vegas is looking for.

Also Vegas might be taking in the fact that had Michigan State not thrown that INT vs Notre Dame, they would have had a shot (at the very least) to tie the game up and go into OT, or still try for the win. Notre Dame was essentially a coinflip at the end for both teams, with Michigan winning and MSU losing; and this line reflects that. Throw in Tate's uncertainty and I can understand where Vegas is coming from right here.

Tate's bruised/sore shoulder. Limited practice today, should be OK tomorrow.

Tate will play on Saturday.
Rich has been combating the idea that spread teams aren't physical through his career. Differences in play style between M & MSU overblown
The team wasn't physical enough against Indiana. They need to correct that for this weekend.
QBs have to be smart about taking hits. They aren't taught to slide, but need to know when they have the first down or TD already wrapped up
The fans in a rivalry game make it intense: They hear from each other for 364 days a year. Marshall/WVU wasn't the same intensity as M/MSU.
Comparing MSU to Marshall isn't the nicest comparison in the world.
Denard will probably get a bit more action against MSU. Combo of his improvement and Tate being nicked up.
This game is going to be intense regardless of the teams' records. It might sound cliche, but it's true.
Many more, but those were the ones that stuck out to me.

So does that mean that Purdue and Michigan are a coin flip?
