I figured it would be good to have a thread to talk about all the NBA trades/rumors that will come out until the deadline. Yahoo has a rumor about Bosh being on the block. I've been saying since last year that if the Raptors didn't have a team around Bosh by this season they needed to move him since he is the most likely to walk of the big 3. The Yahoo rumor said that the Lakers and Rockets were interested, but I don't know what they have to offer. The Lakers could give one of their bigs that have multiple years left on their contracts, but they are still playing draft picks to the Griz for the Gasol trade. The Rockets don't really have the contracts to make a deal for Bosh work unless they are willing to give up Yao (if the Raptors would even want him) or can get the Raptors to take TMac.
If I were the Cavs I'd throw anything I could at the Raptors to try to get Bosh. I'd give them any combination of players not named Lebron and 2 first round picks to get it done. Z and JJ would work. It would also work if they added Boobie with those two.
I'll be shocked if the Raptors roll the dice that they will be able to resign Bosh this summer after the way they have played the past few years.

As far as the Raptors-Lakers trade goes, I've heard that the base deal would be something like Bosh for Bynum. The problem with this trade is that (1) Bynum is a BYC player and (2) in just about any Bosh trade, Raptors will try to move out from a bad contract (Calderon, Banks, Evans, maybe even Turkoglu).

Being from Houston, it seems that Houston's a big player this year because (1) McGrady's contract, (2) they seem to be one of the few teams willing to take on long-term contracts, and (3) their young players, while not being big money guys, are performing well above expectations. So far they've been linked to NYK (Hughes/Mobley for McG), Philly (Iggy + bad contract [Brand/Dalembert]), Washington (Butler), Chitown (Noah, Hinrich) and Sactown (KMart) among others.

cleveland is definately a team that has no issues taking on bad contracts.

if the raptors are just looking for a salary dump, cleveland is a pretty likely spot, especially because cleveland can trade them Z and someone like booby or Hickson, and the Raptors can just buy out Z.

I would take any one of those other players along with Bosh. It just hit me that the stumbling block for the Cavs on a deal for Bosh will probably be Andy. I bet that the Raptors would want Andy in return rather than JJ except that Andy has 5 years left on his deal so they might not want to lock into something like that.
