Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

Just got back from teh bar.... excuse me for a moment.

GOD DAMN THAT FEELS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDD!!!!!!

Great day for Buckeyes all over the world - and a great day for the Big 10 in general (still a great showing by NorthWestern)

Cincy is getting pounded like pornstar, and that 'flashy' 'newage' offense produced about half of their average against us.

Pre-season #1 bitches!!!!

Man... I can finally watch Sportscenter and not feel sick to my stomach. Last years game made me want to throw up. The only thing that feels better than having the Buckeyes come home with the Rose Bowl trophy, is the way Terrelle Pryor played. He played with a ton of poise. There were still a few plays he missed on, a few passes that could have been thrown away.. But overall, I can't help but smile at his performance. Such a good feeling.

Just got back from the Alumni watch party here in Portland, at the beginning of the game, half the bar bucks, half ducks, at the end of hte game, all bucks baby! Good to end on a win, great performance by TP, great coaching changes for the Bowl game. 0-8.

I know this might belong at the Cincy thread, but I want to say here that after lots of stupid "Cincy-is-way-better-than-OSU" posts at the Dispatch, I'm kind of glad to see the football universe in its proper alignment. Sorry to my friends who passionately love the Bearcats.

Go Big Ten.
GO BUCKS!!

Next to the wins of the Big Ten in the bowl season, I have most enjoyed the sportsmanship of and the classy way the Big Ten players have carried themselves. It is a stark contrast to many other teams playing in bowls, not including Oregon, who played classy today. tOSU was a perfect example in the Rose Bowl.

Although it's easy to sing Tressel's praises today, you won't find a coach better at maintaining a winning program while building the character of his players.

I hope the Buckeye players are as proud as we are.

Apparently we were watching different games. The Ducks team I saw was the biggest bunch of pile-jumpers I've ever seen.

I absolutely agree... The Oregon and Ohio State players played with great class today. It made me smile when the DT, I believe, took Terrelle down and another defender came up and patted his helmet, and then the DT came up to him. Pure class. Really was enjoyable to watch.
