2013 NCAA West Regional

I'm not necessarily feeling great with all these underdogs in the bracket. This happens a lot in the NCAA's and we don't want to beat ourselves by looking ahead at an easy bracket. I'll take it over the 2011 bracket though.

Although it looks like Wichita can't rebound for [Mark May]

Underdogs or bad seeding on the top seeds?

I had actually picked Pitt to upset Gonzaga. I chose the wrong team in the 8/9 matchup, but I knew the Zags weren't long for this tourney. Too many short guards who are too easy to shoot 3s over playing way too many minutes. And Olynyk is a pussy. If they didn't lose this one, they would've lost the next one most likely. One thing people might overlook is the one guard that the Zags have that is actually known for defense, Gary Bell, was out much of this game after an ankle injury which clearly helped Wichita spring the upset. Wichita wasn't even doing a very good job on D, gave up a ton of offensive rebounds and let Pangos get open 3s regularly, and they still won because they hit several 3s in a row over the poor perimeter D of the Zags.

It's hard to feel disappointed in your team for not making an F4 run as an OSU fan, but with the way this bracket has imploded, it would be a disappointment. #1, 3, 4, and 5 are all gone. Iowa State and Arizona are good teams, but I think both are better than Wichita/Ole Miss/LaSalle.
