2013 Week 10 CFB Open Thread

I argued it last week and Ill say it again. Miami is terrible. They caught some solid luck late in games and have ZERO elite athletes outside of Duke Johnson.

As for Stephen Morris, this is not the kid that will bring the Caines back to the national top 5.

The Seminoles are great but proved very beatable - if they played a legit team.

The ACC is easily the most overrated conference. The pundits wont tell you that because Alabamas only good defense they have faced is Va Tech's - the same team that just lost to Boston College, narrowly beat Marshall in 3rd OT, and lost to Duke.
The only team this conference has is FSU.

Yup. FSU might be the best team in the country but they shouldn't base it on this game. Friggin' Florida of all teams would of rolled the 'Canes had they not turned the ball over 5 fucking times. I know the Gators are decimated by injuries right now but, if they can get back to full strength, they might give the 'Noles a scare when they roll into Gainsville if a few weeks.

It is interesting to read the media hype for FSU and Miami. All of the computers had FSU winning in the range of 45-41 to 20-14. So, the final score was widely predicted based on past objective information.

FSU is a very good team and I agree that they may well be the best. I'd still fancy the Buckeyes chances against them. There are still four weeks of football to help us get to the point that might become a real possibility. That said, I am not so optimistic that any of the teams above Ohio State lose.

Why the hell do old white people pronounce "Mario" as "Mary-Oh"? Have they never played Nintendo?

Meh - some kid at my church pronounces his name "Mary-oh". At least, his mom does, and to be PC about it, let's just say she isn't old or white. Or hispanic. But I don't think it's spelled "Mario." There's an "h" in there somewhere. "Mahrio," maybe? Which doesn't make sense to me - "Mahrio" should be pronounced "MAH-reo" more than "Mario" should be. Anyway, sorry to confuse your nonconfusing discussion.
