2014 NFL Divisional Playoff Week

Are you under the delusion that guys like Cutler and Romo have improved ?
Both had their best seasons in their 2nd year as starters.
The stats don't back up your argument. Cutler is your closest, but even with him he has largely been injured in recent years. My argument isn't that Romo, Cutler, and Stafford are the answers. Though in my opinion, Luck can be.

But as others have said, there are a few other factors involved to a Super Bowl winning team.

Let me know when he wins your anointed Super Bowls w/o a dominant defense. It'll never happen.

Your gross overconfidence in this statement is foolish. The trend indicates Luck will most likely have at least a shot or two at a SuperBowl.

You just act as if the defense is the only thing that will get him to a SuperBowl. Again- their offense, especially the line, requires far more improvement than the defense. Luck has been able to accomplish 2 playoffs appearances, 2 double digit win seasons a wildcard win and the 2nd largest comeback in playoff history with a patchwork Oline and 2nd rate skill position players.

If you consider him on the same level as Romo, Stafford, Cutler etc etc... Then I don't know what to tell you other than apparently we aren't watching the same game.

Bullshit. Cutler's best year was definitely his 2nd season. You could argue Romo's was 2011 or 2012 instead of 2007... but point is; he hasn't improved since that 2nd year as a starter.

I'd say the same about your gross overconfidence in a QB that just threw 4 Interceptions in a playoff game.

Romo's best seasons were 2011, 2009, and 2013, in that order. Cutler's was probably 2013.

Luck is 24 and is playing on a team two years removed from a 2-14 season. Any talk about him not being potentially a top 3 QB in the league is insane.

Edit: Also, Peyton threw four INTs against New England in 2003. Brady's thrown three INTs in three playoff games. I don't understand the fixation on this.

Which is better?
224/355 63.1% 2621yds 7.38avg 19TD 12Int
or
297/467 63.6% 3497yds 7.49avg 20TD 14Int

It's not even close. One is better across the board.
Similarly Romo's 2nd season vs. what you claim was his best:

335/520 64.4% 4211yds 8.10avg 36TD 19Int
346/522 66.3% 4184yds 8.02avg 31TD 10Int

No improvement there.
Years later, these are the same QBs they were in their 2nd year as starters.

Then I wonder what the NFL guys are saying, because 26 years ago was Jim Plunkett.....

EDIT: nope, it wasn't then either. He didn't play in the 1986 playoffs for the Raiders. Really weird tweet.
piss poor wording by NFL Stats. Vinny won the Heisman 27 years ago, hence the 26 years stat...they just fucked up by implying that the playoff win was more than 26 years ago.
