I don't like what ifs like that though. What if bama ran the ball on their last drive of the second half and doesn't allow OSU to score those two touchdowns? Well that didn't happen, so it doesn't matter. You look at the game how it was played. The fact is, CJ didn't look good, and Elliott too, when bama rushed five or six. They had three drives in a row that advanced a cumulative -5 yards. Can it be fixed? That may be the key to the national title.

Ohio State being repeatedly pinned inside their own 5 and getting conservative had way more to do with those stops than Bama's D. Give them the ball on the 20 or 25 and they're picking up 1st downs again

CJ looked awful in his first 5 throws. Can't blame the kid for being nervous. And you're right, Cardale didn't look good, but he was good when it mattered.

I feel like Herman could have dialed up some more bubble screens to negate the Bama pass rush. At times, it seemed very reminiscent of the Vtech game with CJ looking antsy in the pocket, taking way too long to make his reads.

And it almost costed us in the same exact way (two near safeties). The difference this game versus Vtech game is that the OL has gotten considerably better and the fact that CJ is a mother fucking tank lol.

Oregon can be run on. I expect EZE to have another big game. The running game will keep Oregon off the field and we'll take our shots down field. I think we match up very well when on offense. Buckeyes will score a lot of points, but they'll need all of them.

On D, the Buckeyes will have their hands full, big time. I think they'll have to play a bit loose and off the ball. A lot of zone looks. Tackle receivers after the catch and make Oregon drive and use more plays to score. The high risk, high reward kind of stuff won't work against these guys, they're too good for that. If we can make Oregon settle for field goals 1/2 of the time they are in the +35 yard line or so, then we probably win. Our fast OLB's will be a big key in containing Mariota, both in scrambling and quick outs to the perimeter. Lee has a big game and we see their FG team a few times, I think we have a good shot.
