2018 QB Emory Jones commits to Ohio State

If there is one position where you can never have enough talent, it might be quarterback. After proving that over the past couple of seasons, Ohio State is quickly trying to set themselves up again to have one of the deepest depth charts of signal callers in college football for years to come.
With young bodies on the roster, such as Joe Burrow, Dwayne Haskins, and class of 2017 prospects Danny Clark of Akron Archbishop Hoban, and Bishop Gorman’s (NV) Tate Martell verbally committed to play on the next level for the Buckeyes, Urban Meyer and crew received even better news earlier today when a top quarterback from the 2018 class announced he too will spend his college years in Columbus at Ohio State.
Committing to the Buckeyes just over a week after visiting the OSU campus for a summer camp, four-star standout Emory Jones has decided Ohio State is the right spot for him over scholarship offers from the likes of Tennessee, and Clemson.
Playing mostly in the I-formation at Heard County High School as a sophomore, Jones accounted for 1,213 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air, while carrying the ball over 60 times for another 293 yards and two scores on the ground for the 8-4 Braves.
Jones, the second member of the Buckeyes class of 2018, joining four-star running back Brian Snead, is currently considered the second dual-threat quarterback, and 40th overall prospect in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
