Things we need...

Diebler needs to be lights out from three point range. When hes going everyone else is going.
Turner needs to establish himself early. The ET show needs to start when the game does.
Lauderdale needs to show Tenn he is the big man. Start the game off with a huge dunk or a block to establish himself.

Other then that the rest should fall into place.

Rebounding. The team that decisively wins the boards will decisively win this game.

Some say the keys to winning this game are as follows: 3 point shooting, rebounding, turnovers, get this guy involved, get that guy involved, shut this guy down, hit your FTs...all I hear is blah blah blah. I hate to tap an old, dead horse and be el Capitan Obvious, but let's face it:

The only REAL KEYS TO THE GAME.

If we A) play solid D and B) score more points, we should come out with a win. :wink2:

So, I'm struggling to remember where the hype for tOSU is coming from?

Because as far as I can tell, no one is hyping the Bucks, AT ALL. So, I don't see how they are out to "prove" they are worthy of the hype, when in fact they aren't getting any. At least not nationally.

Agreed. The only hype...if there is ANY, is ET being the best player in the tourney. Other than that, I've heard more praise for the Vols and every other team in the tourney besides us. You would almost never know that guys like Lighty/Diebs/Buford are even on our squad. Hell, you'd think we were going 1-on-5 game in and game out.

I don't know what TV y'all are watching...

ESPN's just about penciled them in the Final Four with Kansas gone...

I've seen 1 devil's advocate segment on how Tennessee will knock them out, but for the most part, all I've been hearing is how the best team with the best player in the country is the favorite to take it to the house.

Wilbon has Ohio State as his national champion...of course Wilbon is an admitted Big Ten guy, but still.

The hype isn't nearly as hot and heavy as that of Kentucky, but it's definitely out there...

Wilbon picked tOSU at the start of the tourney.

ESPiN has spent more time talking about Tennessee than the Buckeyes, and if you listen to ESPN Radio then all you've heard this week is that Tennessee will win.

What has been assumed is that the winner of this game goes on and beats MSU/NIU in the Elite Eight.

And to even mention tOSU when your talking about hype that Kentucky has gotten...seriously?

I just watched some of the pre-game press conferences, and the last question asked to the Tennessee players was one that I was wondering about myself. How did they feel about playing in the big dome after having practiced in it? Scottie Hopson responded by saying that the rims are soft and he thought that was good.

If that's the truth, our shooters better be making their shots.

Another guard said that his wind was kind of taken away at first, but after that initially happens in the game, it should be like any other gym.
