Anyone been to Minnesota for a game?

Thinking about going there next fall. MSP has a rail line that can get you downtown. Was wondering if you can walk to TCF or if I will need to get a taxi or use a bus?

There a quite a few flights from CMH to MSP every day so I might be able to catch a early evening flight if it is a noon game.

U of M regents approve beer sales at TCF Bank Stadium

I haven't but I'm assuming it just got better as they sell beer and wine now.

Wife and I flew up 2 years ago when the buckeyes played there at night. We had an awesome time and really enjoyed the downtown area.

We stayed at the W (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotels/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=3019) and they had a free shuttle to the stadium. Great hotel too.

Never been for a game but I had an office up there a number of years ago. Love the Twin Cities. The people, in general, are wonderful. There are a lot of great things to do and see (especially if you're a fan of 80's post punk :)

The new stauim looks wonderful. It'd be on my short list.

Nah, they only have 6 national championships in football.

How many does Nebraska have again?

Uh, huh. And Bama has 14 national championships, too...:wink2:

Five, to answer your question. And all five were recognized consensus by the sports media as well as the coaches (just like the seven consensus you guys got).

I don't count Natty Champs prior to the 1950's, cause if that's the case, then Princeton has like 25 of em....

What's with the pictures of some girls that will be fat in 10 years or fewer? You can tell by the faces - the cheeks are as chubby as goldy gopher! The bodies will soon follow.

Seriously, if anyone has a question on what to do in MPLS and that stadium feel free to PM me. I lived downtown for 5 years and just recently moved from there to the worst state ever.
