The BTN will be shown in HD on Directv. Here is a list of some others that will be added to Directv's schedule. Another sat will be launched in December. There will be more than the ones on this list, these are only the ones that have been announced.

A number of sources have confirmed that standard BTN will be on channel 220 with the overflow channels somewhere around that.

But what will they do with the HD BTN channels? Delaney has said a number of times that almost 90% of the BTN games will be on in HD... So, are they going to designate four HD channels just for the BTN? I'd love to see that but i'm guessing that they will create a single HD BTN channel to show just one of the HD games that week while providing the others on SD.

It's all speculation at this point. We will find out on week one. I think it is a mistake to base anything on the present channel lineup at Directv. Things might change with the additional capacity they have. I'm willing to wait. I have other things I'm worried about, mainly the TEAM, lol. Go Bucks!

BTN will for sure not be shown on Cable TV correct?

as of now... no:(

I would think that they will reach the agreement sometime this Fall if not before August 30. The Big 10 is losing big dollars from advertising and the cable companies are losing dollars from people switching to DirecTV.

I thought one of the networks was looking promising... check back thru the thread for confirmation on that, however.

I have not heard anything promising (that was credible) on Time Warner.

They really need to get on that contract...do you think that the game will be shown at like a Damon's or BW3's?
Yes. Call your local sports bar/restaurant if you want confirmation.

Incorrect! BTN has signed on with over 80 cable operators. If you're specifically referring to Columbus, U-Verse will be available before the end of the year, and TWC is still in negotiations.

Buckeyes football is not a 'Big' enough lure to sell the network

The Big Ten sure is making the "big sell" to try to capture viewers for its initial season of the Big Ten Network.
As I was watching the Reds play at Milwaukee over the weekend, I kept seeing the ads on FSN Ohio for the upcoming football season on the Big Ten Network.

It sure got me all excited.
I mean, I always look forward to seeing Ohio State play football. And it will be particularly interesting to see how the Buckeyes bounce back from last year's great season that had such a dismal ending.
