Bret Bielema (HC Illinois)

Does this mean it's open season for UFM on all Wisky recruits? I hope so...

Their class doesnt have anyone that Ohio State would have room for

Maybe the reason he is leaving....he is having two horrible recruiting years in a row...the prgram has peaked for him. Wiscy is better off.

The best coaching hires so far in my opinion

1) Strong to the Tenn
2) Hazel to Purdue
3) Stoops to UK
4) Malzahn to Au
5) Beils to Arky
2a) Leach to Wiscy

Well, considering that OSU is 5-1 against Bielema-led UW teams, I guess I'd rather that he stuck around Madison.

I'm still waiting for the article to come out that this really isn't a net gain for the SEC b/c Bret is such a bad coach.

I don't know, it's not for nothing that Saban winds up in Alabama and not East Lansing or Baton Rouge, Myles turns down Michigan - twice - and Urban goes to Columbus.

If I'm Saban I know that there's no other place in the SEC that has better recruiting possibilities and only Ol' Miss, Miss State and Auburn have lower academic expectations.

If I'm Myles I know that if I go to Ann Arbor I have to recruit with academic standards and a tough minded faculty in mind.

If I'm Urban I know that with Saban at Alabama, at a school with the second highest academic standing in the SEC, my years of SEC/NCG championships are getting squeezed. I have a much better chance of getting to the NCG in Columbus.

If I'm Bulimia (sic) I know that I'm not going to get past Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State for recruiting base and recruiting income and facilities. I might as well grab the money and run.

So you pick Arkansas???

I've been to Arkansas, the stereotypes are 100% accurate, maybe even understated in some cases.

I've never been to Madison (or even close to Wisconsin).

but you'll have a tough time convincing me that Arkansas is unpgrade over any town/state in this country (other than maybe Mississippi).

This is what I can't stand. IMO Wiscy is better off if they hire Chryst. As an OSU fan I'm sad to see Bret go because I knew he was a shit coach and Chryst will make them a better team.

I still think this is a move to get him into Iowa after KF. Give him 3-4 years at Ark until they fire him, then he can be an analyst on the BTN until KF retires.

Looks like they have some nice homes in Fayetteville, I'm sure he'll be living comfortably. You have to walk an hour an 20 minutes to get to your mailbox, but still very nice.

I hope he's ready for the type of scrutiny he's going to be under and the fact that since there are no pro sports in Arkansas, he's the only game in town.
All eyes on you Coach.

With all due respect...that is just plain wrong. His 2013 class was easily his best yet. Which makes the move all that much more confusing.

Reportedly no assistants are going with Bielema directly from Wisconsin to Arkansas (at this time).

At the least, Urban Meyer had Stan Drayton from a previous staff.

I don't know if this says something about Bielema or his staff. More than likely Bielema.
