Plenty kids have their heart set on something, decision-making can be the hardest part in the process. I had my heart set on my ex-lady, good thing I didn't commit.

How does one go about quantifying that? If he is our next Shawn Springs, its hard to not see us loving that immensely.

I would argue just the opposite. There's no comparison between the two fan bases, OSU's football following rivals anyone in the country. So wouldn't being cheered and appreciated by a larger and more passionate fan base make him more loved?

Much earlier in this thread, I posted that I spoke with two people who claim to know Doran. Both made it sound like, all Doran has ever wanted is an OSU offer. I'll be more than mildly surprised if that changes between now and LOI day.

BIG Recruit Visit - #1 CB Doran Grant to be visiting this weekend | mgoblog

As per scout, behind paywall, Doran Grant will be in attendance this weekend at the game. Not sure if it's an official visit or not, or for that matter, if he's even there just to watch MSU. But this certainly can't hurt us. Is this possibly who Sam Webb was talking about as the shock visitor??

I wonder if this is the same Doran Grant who Tom Beaver says the UM staff decided to pass on after seeing him at their 7-on-7 tournament this past summer? :slappy:

From GBW...says he noticed UM wasn't afraid to play underclassmen like Cullen Christian against MSU...says he is sure he will take officials to Michigan State and Ohio State and that UM still has a chance to sign him.

Rivals $ - Doran Grant impressed with UM despite loss

10/10

More of the same...including more on the opportunity for early playing time at UM.

He could start in UM's defensive backfield right now...

There's a not so subtle distinction between "not being afraid to play underclassmen" and "not having a choice but to play underclassmen."
