Luckily I didn't have a hangover probably because Beerhead was so packed that we were only able to get 5 beers throughout the course of the game. I got home at 2 then was back downtown for work at 7 so it was a pretty rough day of work. Pretty sure half the office didn't show up today. Between Cedar Point yesterday and then a journey from where I parked, to the Q, to the Flats, and back I walked about 14 miles yesterday per my Fitbit. Totally worth it. Pretty sure I high fived half of Cleveland last night.
what the hell, you did not make it to the airport:wink:

I know that some of us yesterday were worrying about Joe Tait and whether or not he got to watch the game. It was good to read this article and find out that Joe is not only a Cavaliers fan but he is a bigger fan of the shittiest team in the nation. Below is a link to the article for those who have not read it and enjoyed the broadcasts of the Cavaliers games that Joe did and I wish him well in his fight against cancer.
Former Cleveland Cavaliers broadcaster Joe Tait enjoys his old team winning title as he battles cancer -- Terry Pluto

Woody Hayes (obvious)

Archie Griffin (2 Heismans)

John Havlicek (only hoops title in OSU history, most NBA titles of any player from Ohio)

All due respect to Jesse but he was from Alabama.

I keep trying to put this into some perspective of how big a comeback this was. The Warriors did not lose consecutive games all regular season and through the first two rounds of the playoffs. Aside from a pair of 1-2 stretches in the regular season, they had no winning streak shorter than five games between losses. Keep in mind that after Game 2, GS had beaten the Cavs by an average score of 115-88 over the last three game they played, including the 34-point curb-stomping in Cleveland, and had won a close game before those three to be 4-0 in their previous four games against. After winning Game 4 in Cleveland, they were 5-1 against the Cavs this year.

To think that any team--led by anyone--could win four of five games against the team that had broken the Bulls' "unbeatable" regular season record and had dominated the season series is beyond my comprehension.

What's up Milwood, been a long time my Buckeye Brother!

I'll break it all down like this. Cliches in sports are ridiculously common and for the most part bore the hell out of me, that being said, I'll go with the "we wanted it more" notion.
From what I "witnessed" the Warriors went into cruise control the whole playoffs while the Cavs shifted into "Championship Gear" after game 4. The result was the 73-9 Warriors losing 9 games in the playoffs going 15-9 while the Cavs went 16-5. The beauty of it all is the this Cavs title diminishes the results of last years finals. The Warriors HAD to beat the Cavs this year to validate last years win against a depleted Cavs team and they didn't do it. Warriors fans might argue Draymond's suspension in game 5 and Bogut's injury. FUCK THAT! They had a game 7 in their house with Darymond (who was simply fantastic) and "Uncle Festus" who's better than Bogut anyway and couldn't get the job done because LeBron instilled in the team that they HAD to win. Not "wanted" to win. HAD to win!

After the game 4 loss there was a downer attitude here in NEO but nobody I talked to as fans had ever given up. Thinking was simple, if you're playing a basketball game and have a guy on your team named LeBron James you're gonna be tough to beat, and then IT happened. LeBron took alot of things personal and responed like only a once in a generation player could. I think LeBron looked at Curry winning MVP last year (even though LeBron took a team with the 1st pick in the NBA draft to the Finals in the same year ) as well as Curry winning it this year and using it as Double Motivation. Combine that with LeBron's "secret-motivation" to win the Championship that he spoke of when he returned here. Don't even know if the "secret motivation" thing has gone National or not but it was revealed to a local reporter that LeBron said was the way he was treated when he left Miami. Felt they didn't appreciate what he did there and told him that going back to Cleveland was a HUGE mistake that he would regret, that he would never win a title there. No name dropping, but speculation was that it was Pat Reilly.

Anyway, been way too long-winded and need to just shut up and drink more beer and get psyched for the Celebration tomorrow, err, today!

I was inside the "Q" on sunday night at the watch party and was lucky enough to share this great achievement with 20,000 of my closest friends. LeBron "wanted it more" as did the entire cast of Characters and the result worked out. Cool thing was, never in the arena sunday was there ever a vibe when you felt the Cavs were'nt going to win.

To all Cavs fans, and ALL CLE sports fans, ENJOY! I know I will.

Peace, and as always: GO BUCKEYES!!!! AND WAY TO GO CAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dubs! What up? Just wanted to build upon one point you made. Not only did those wussies from The Bay go 15-9 in the playoffs, they went fucking 7-7 in the semis and finals against two of the most physical teams in the league. They crow about how they're going to be back again next season, but OKC and the Cavs gave the rest of the league the blueprint to beat the Warriors' asses...

It was the Warriors fault for the collapse. They had John Legend perform the National Anthem in game one. You mean, you couldn't have found a Californian to perform it, you had to settle for an Ohioan? Cost them the title.

I am a fair weathered fan that jumped in at the right time.

That said, I don't know much about the machinations of the Cavs.

How likely is it that Love gets traded? I have nothing against the guy, but he just doesn't seem to fit in, and both he and the Cavs could be better in different situations.
