Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Thus the reason they need to lose as many games like this as they can this year. This draft is going to be their last chance to get a semi high draft pick for years to come. If they hit with a couple first rounders they will be a playoff team next year and a contender in 2-3 years. If they miss on this draft they will probably still be a playoff team, but they will have a hard time getting better than a 5 seed in the playoffs in the future.

i have to say grant is doing a pretty good job this year about staying calm about trades and what not...the cavs are right on the cusp of the #8 spot in the east and grant knows a trade here and a trade there will send all that plummeting...but it is good for Irving to play with a "decent" team for the time being and get some wins under his belt...and we all know Gilbert hates losing so the cavs are actually doing a good job of staying competitive and actually being somewhat fun to watch to bring in decent sized crowds...so im actually pretty happy with where the cavs are at right now...once the trade deadline gets closer then watch out...if we can get another #1 draft pick in this draft that would be awesome, especially if it comes from trading sessions...best case scenario would be to add 2 more #1 picks this year...that would be 3 total with ours being for sure in the lottery...kiss the kings lottery pick goodbye...they aint making the playoffs

The Lakers are interested in trading for Ramon Sessions, but sources say that the team wants to hold off on trading either of its two 2012 first-round picks (their own and one from the Lamar Odom trade) until Dwight Howard's situation plays out in Orlando.

The Cavs are looking for a first-round pick in exchange for Ramon Sessions and there may be a fit on both sides as Kyrie Irving is flourishing in Cleveland. No huge surprise here, but it does show that the Lakers are indeed interested in adding Sessions as an upgrade to their point guard situation. Stay tuned.

So, Kyrie Irving is good. He's going to be a treat to watch. He already is.. but yeah.

irving, gee, and AV have been great treats this year. but yeah, this team is certainly on the short side of talent.

the lakers aren't getting howard, they need to just deal with the cavs and get it over with.

cavs lose and verajo gets hurt...only a matter of time before jamison and verajo get injured for the year and u can kiss any trade value away...and jamison has been lighting it up past 3...so hopefully that continues so the trade offers roll in

Well, now that Andy has a fractured wrist, and will miss a decent amount of
time, it's time to work on the draft position. After last nights loss, they fall
to seventh overall. As bad as the other teams are below them, I'm not sure they can drop much further than maybe fifth. Of course, they can get lucky in the ball drop and move up. Realistically, I think at the seventh pick, they can have their pick of the best shooting guard in the draft. Most likely, the bigs will go in the top six picks, leaving the Cavs their choice of Lamb or Beal. More than anything, to rebuild, this team needs a shooter to go with Irving. I love Beal in that slot.

They might be able to get a contibuter in the 2nd round with one of their two
picks, one possibly being at the top of round two.

Then, most likely, they're going to have two first rounders in each of the following three drafts, '13, '14 and '15. If Grant can hit on 50% of them, this team could be set to contend in the future.

What's the deal with Melo from Cuse? I don't follow much college bball, but he looked pretty good against UConn yesterday. I checked a mock and they had him going in the mid second.

The good thing about Andy getting hurt is it will make it easier for the Cavs to lose, but on the bad side they won't be able to trade him unless he will be back before the playoffs. Hopefully they can get one of the Lakers 1's for Sessions. From looking at the standings the best they can do is get the 4th worst record, but they will likely be 5th or 6th.
