Cleveland Indians Thread of Malaise (2014 Season)

If they go 4-1, they are 86-76...that would mean KC can only win one more game, because they are sitting on 85 wins. And that doesn't factor in Seattle, who sit at 83-73. So they have to go 3-3 or 2-4. Oakland and Detroit, at 86-70, would have to go 0-6 for us to catch them. So basically we need to go 5-0 and hope KC and Seattle only win 1-2 more games each. Not the most realistic of scenarios.

you forgot theres these things called tiebreakers, which the tribe would win the H2H series vs KC if they win today and tomorrow, meaning KC would need to take 3 out of 4 vs the WS. so no we dont NEED to go 5-0. Seattle isnt a factor, they are a sinking ship and got blasted 14-4 last night.

Tiebreakers only determine home field for the play-in game, troll. If 2 teams finish with the same record for the second wild card spot, they have a play-in game...you know, like last year :shake: Now crawl back under your bridge.

So now that we are writing them off... you know this is what will happen... cuz we are Cleveland.

The Indians are going to go on a winning streak, the last game of the year will determine if the Indians can force a play-in game. Then....

#1 - Indians winning in the 9th, KC is getting blown out. The Indians blow the save and force extra innings. During xtra innings KC comes back to win and then an error will bring home the winning run for TB and then the Indians will load the bases with 0 outs and end up not scoring to lose the game.

#2 - Indians lose 1-0

#3 - Indians win!!! But then KC wins (or Seattle) to keep the Indians out of the playoffs.
