  • Stange 'ending' to this, I suppose it wasn't worth it to the cops to shoot or be shot.

    NF, that you?

Colorado Springs police end standoff by walking away
COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado Springs police have ended a standoff with a man armed with a shotgun by walking away.
Instead, police say they will issue a citation later.

According to KRDO-TV (http://bit.ly/wsWIkm ), police were called to a report of a domestic dispute Tuesday night and they were met at the door by a man with a shotgun. The man locked the door and refused to come out.

Police said the man was not a danger to his neighbors and they will deal with it later.

That seems like a chicken shit response. He wasn't a danger to his neighbors? What about his wife/partner/family? What about the shotgun he was holding when he answered the door? I'd sure hate to be the Police Chief if this dude kills anyone after they left.......

Pretty sure answering your door with a shotgun isn't a crime. Maybe they know the dude. Seems like a good way to solve it to me. Better than when cops engage a suspect in a high speed chase and it turns out the drivers biggest crime was fleeing. That shit is ridiculous. Cops shouldn't even have V8 engines. Too much money wasted on cops so they can feel like a badass.

No, it probably isn't. The police were called on a domestic dispute however. That, combined with the shotgun and the refusal to cooperate would throw up a red flag to me......maybe that's just me though.....

Right, I'm just sayin' the cops probably know the dude...I mean, they'd have to have some sort of info we don't to just say "fuck it"...at least you'd think so.
