Christian Bryant receives the offer he's been waiting for

Glenville, Ohio safety Christian Bryant has received a scholarship offer from Ohio State, ESPN affiliate Web site Bucknuts.com reports.

"It's a big relief. I don't have to worry about it anymore," Bryant said. "Right now they're probably my number one. I'm really excited about it."

Tennessee. Michigan State, West Virginia, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Maryland, Stanford, Indiana, Minnesota, Vanderbilt and Kent State have also offered Bryant.

Duane Long must be jumping for joy. He's practically been begging the staff to offer Bryant and/or Anderson.

I love the skill set this guy brings to the table at DB. He's got good speed, quickness and leaping ability, and he racks up a lot of heavy hits. He tends to lose some power on hits by going up top for the knock out blow rather than wrapping and driving through the legs, but if he works on getting more versatile and consistent with his tackling technique, he could be a very good college player. Overall, I love his aggressiveness and I think he would be a great addition to the OSU defensive backfield.

From the Miami site...says that he has really wanted a Miami offer ever since Marcus Hall got one last year and that if they came at him then he would take a strong look at Miami...still no frontrunners but plans to narrow things down this summer.

Not sure we waited as long as we are led to believe. There are some rumblings that this offer was kept quiet for awhile since many schools back off Glenville once tOSU is in on a kid.
