DB Damon Webb (2017 Cotton Bowl Def MVP, Saskatchewan Roughriders)

Fully agreed. All of this kids film is sick to watch him shutdown some of the top WRs in his class and older classes. Like leroyjenkins said, his film against Treadwell is crazy, especially considering the fact what Treadwell did against the SEC as a true frosh.

Proof will be in how he's coached to do what. It's the what part that will be interesting to see unfold.

Every report we have read since recruiting Webb has been that he is absolutely an outstanding man to man press cover corner. With our new approach on defense being just that Webb is going to do really well here like you say NJ buck.

Of Webb, Lattimore, and Erik who do you all see being able to contribute right away (outside of special teams)?

Though its an absolutely impossible question to answer, but a fun one with no football being played for a while. My money would be on Webb to be in the 2 deep at nickel and get some OOC reps to prove himself.
The problem (a good albeit) is that all 3 are very viable candidates and none will probably be redshirting. Strong future at CB

I think Webb is the most ready from a coverage perspective but Erick Smith is right there with his ability to tackle in space (and his coverage is tight too). Lattimore is not exactly a project either but I see him taking a bit to adjust to playing CB exclusively. With that being said, they will have stiff competition ahead of them with Grant, Reaves, Conley, Apple, Bell, Burrows, Powell, Worley, etc. Then again, Webb may be elite enough of a cover man to see some time when we really need to lock someone down.

I agree that Webb is best-suited to play the position right away, but I think he can benefit most from a year in the weight room.
