Ken gordon now says that jamel is in stable condition.... great news if true.
Just got home to find this out - we get Moeller back now this happens. Just please, can our players get a break?
Prayers for Jamel and the family of the girl that was killed. Hopefully he'll pull through and be on the straight & narrow. Y'town is a pretty rough city.
There is much more at stake in this situation than just football. I am very pleased to see that this point is not just my own. Prayers and support are needed in a profound way. I hope this young man survives and that he escapes the culture of violence. What will it take for all to learn? Y-town is a rough town but how does one escape from that?
Only time will tell, and I pray for a better outcome for all.
The tragic death of the young woman involved can never be repaired.
A huge part of American culture is de-evolving and becoming more culturally bankrupt.
Your final statement is soooooooooo true. A subject which could be talked about for 1000 pages and still not come to a conclusion.
Now to hijack the tread BACK to the subject at hand----I'll continue to have this young man and the young girls family in my prayers.
Tragic story. I hope it has a happy ending, someday.
Haven't been on here lately, anyone know the latest on Jamel? How he's doing or if he's been sent home from the hospital?
Pretty sure that I read on the scout board that the family won't be releasing any more info

"full recovery in time"
Yes, excellent news. But I'm really hoping for much more than that from this young man. Time will tell.
If this kid EVER has a full recovery.. then we really missed a superstar.. who else besides Superman can fully recover from NINE (2+7) bullets???
Great news. I hope he can end up here, just to get him out of Youngstown...I don't care if he ever plays a down, it is the right thing to do.
Apparently Youngstown isn't working out too well for him.
