DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

weird thing, but a few hours after I posted about my knee surgery I jumped in my truck and there was a discussion on espn radio about athletes and injuries and the insane advances in medical technologies.

The hosts talked about Teddy Bruski (sp), New England Patriots coming back from a stroke, and some dude on the LA Lakers (I think they said a rookie) playing basketball this year only 6 months after having a valve replaced in his heart!

I know these injuries along with ACL surgery, Bobby C's ankle etc. are all apples and oranges, but it just goes to show you that now-a-days (with top notch care) it's absolutely amazing what athletes can recover from and the relatively quick recovery times that are possible today.

And athletes are more likely to follow rehab schedules compared to non-athletes. My program would involve one of those rascal scooters they advertise on TV with a beer keg strapped to the back of it. Scooter makes you mobile again, beer deadens the pain!

Its late!

We need Doug Worthington in that DLine rotation. Work him in slowly and hopefully he will be 100% at end of season??

My first thought seeing that pic was oh now.... he has some sort of cast or brace on his right foot... then, after I realized I was being an idiot, saw it was just sandals he had on. Anyways, I CANNOT wait to see Big Doug on the field!!

He definitely passes the look test. I wonder out of all the DE'S who could complete as a professional body builder the best. Reminds me of a bunch of Alonzo Spellmans on the same team. lol
