Ed "LL" Warinner (Run Game Coordinator FAU)

While the team and coaching staff is prepping for the NCG, the athletic department needs to 1. Find out what the highest paid Oline coach in the country is getting paid, 2. Double that amount and offer it to Warinner as part of a contract extension that includes an obscene buyout.

I don't want this guy coaching for anyone but OSU. PLEASE NEVER LEAVES US, ED!!!!

Frankly our entire staff needs a raise. They should all be the highest paid at their position. There is a reason Saban has kept his dc. They pay him 7 figures. This staff needs to stay together, and winning national titles will more than pay their salaries let alone the tv deal coming up next year.

Agreed. I was making fun of my buddy who's a Miami fan, telling him they can't get or keep coaches because they don't open their checkbooks. And then he informed me that their coaches make as much as ours... Ouch

I would double check that against USA Today's salary checker, it looks like Miami doesn't report their because they are a private school, meaning your buddy is either very well connected or he's talking out his ass.

Yes our assistants deserve raises but the ones who want to be a HC will leave even if they are making more money. Also consider A LOT of the guys who are paid more dont have the "CO" in front of their coordinator titles. Also most of those guys making top dollar eat up 30 to 40% of the assistant salary pool (Bama is likely the exception not the norm). Did some calcs on the top 10.

Well if their OC James Foley makes reportedly $500,000, and I'm sure their DC makes close to that, then that's a shame. And that would be comparable to what our coaches makes, for a sub par team in a recruiting gold mine.
True but we're not talking CO-OC or DC... our OC & DC would combine to over $1M for the position. Having Co allows for a small downgrade in pay because they aren't solely responsible for offensive gameplan/playcalling/etc

Feeling pretty good about current line... but still wonder.. what this line will look like for 2015
Highly suspect Knox and M Jones will demand to be heard from
Hearing all we do about Jones makes me anxious because I think Knox will be fabulous... great feet

And what about J Jones and Trout fighting for the RT position! That's a great battle

I'll always remember Urban's first comments regarding the roster he inherited when he took the OSU job: "The body's we have on the O-line aren't good. We're over weight, slow, wrong body types. That's the first thing that we ned to correct, and in a big hurry." I'm paraphrasing, but coach repeated those sentiments all off-season, he wasn't fucking around.

Micky and coach Warinner have done an outstanding job of literally changing these athletes. Many of our current o-lineman are Urban's recruits, so, it's become the norm. But look at guys like Mehort (was always very sound), Norwell, Linsley. It's just crazy.

Outstanding job to coach Warinner and the entire staff. You just can't bee at this shit.

Go Bucks!

To further highlight what a great job Warinner has done, two of our starters on the OL were Defensive players who switched over to the OL.
