From a selfish perspective, I'm happy Warinner is staying. But I'd like all OSU assistants who want to be head coaches to get their wish.

On the other hand, there are some positions where it's an uphill battle to win.

I second that emotion. Show Warriner the money. To witness the offensive line go from what it was to the most dominant unit on the team in such a short period of time has been nothing short of miraculous. Of course, there were certainly others who contributed to the transformation (some very talented players recruited by Tress and the Walrus, conditioning by Marotti and staff, the UFM culture/attitude, etc.), but...damnit, just make sure Ed sticks around.
