So much hate on Cincy chili haha. Honestly I have a soft spot in my heart for Skyline, probably just from growing up eating it. Not going to say it's gourmet food or anything, and yes there is the diarrhea that follows. But personally I love it.

Agreed! I wouldn’t eat a bowl of Skyline chili straight, but I’ll happily put away 2 or 3 coneys. Even a 5-way every now and then.

Actually I've been eating bowls of it straight and ordering from Amazon since I rarely get back to Ohio anymore, not like a routine thing but it just tastes like home. I like that better than over the pasta tbh. But the coney dogs are the best way to consume it without a doubt...tastes great anywhere, but it hits even better at a Reds game in my mind. I could probably just order the chili and make the coney dogs myself come to think of it. I've just been making it on the stovetop and throwing some cheese on top, occasionally throwing in some spice.

Every Skyline in NE Ohio is gone. I've been buying the generic Cincinnati Chili to save a dollar per can when we make coneys at home and it seems pretty similar. I'm not a chili on spaghetti fan so to me the coneys are just as good or better at home with better quality all-beef franks.

Being diabetic and trying to keep it low cab I use skyline a lot at home to make coney bowls. Just haven’t found the right hot dog to replicate what they use.
