GA WR Demarre Kitt (Clemson signee; transfer to ???)

AJC - Ex-UGA football recruit ready to make college decision

4/25

Kitt will announce between his finalists of Clemson, Tennessee and Ohio State on June 9.

?I?m ready to do it,? Kitt told the AJC. ?There?s nothing significant about that date. I?m just ready to go, and that seemed like a good time.?

The 6-foot, 190-pounder from Sandy Creek High School said he may visit Clemson and Tennessee at least one more time, but he won?t be making a return trip to Ohio State. ?That?s too far to go in a short amount of time.?
Here?s Kitt on his three finalists:
Clemson: ?I like the offense, and it has a family atmosphere.?
Tennessee: ?At Tennessee, they like receivers and there?s a good opportunity to come in there and help early.?
Ohio State: ?Ohio State is Ohio State. You can?t go wrong there. They have everything you need.?

Clemson appears to be the frontrunner for Kitt. Another big factor in favor of the Tigers is Kitt?s close friendship with Gainesville High School QB Deshaun Watson, who is committed to Clemson. ?Yes, we text each other all the time,? Kitt said.

Long, long way to go - including a whole season, Depth chart changes, coaching changes and most everything else could result in a change of commitment.

Perhaps CU thought the same thing when he originally committed to Georgia.

Larger pool of offered players = more misses. With the thinking being Watson is not coming here, Kitt became much less of a priority. Plain and simple. The focus will be on guys like Kief, Thompson, Andrews, Scott, Malone, Blacknall, Brown, Dawkins, Samuel, etc.

Looks like Clemson is going to sweep up GA like I thought we were going to. At one point I though 4-5 GA guys was likely...now it looks like one in McMillan, perhaps two if we want Autry (I sure do). But I would not completely discount Kitt/Watson if Morris bolts before signing day, although it appears VERY unlikely at this point.
