I'll let the lines settle overnight before establishing them in the vBet.

The opening line if GT+5, and +/- 138, but those often change by a few points.

Yep.

Ken Pom has it at 5 points, 71-66 OSU. The line won't move far from that.

GT has the 9th best effective FG defense in the country and is 17th in offensive rebounding. They also shoot the 3 and defend the 3 very well. They have size and depth inside. None of that is a good matchup for us.

However, they are a very poor FT shooting team and they turn it over a lot so we've got that going for us. Which is good.

Just survive this one.

About 64% on the season coming in, but 96% against Okla St!

Yup, the crowd rejoiced when the much better matchup fell today :shake:

no, I meant the crowd at bw3. I just shook my head. Kyle Lamb had a good breakdown of why we'd much rather face the pokes.

Oh yeah. I would have been right there with you. Nucking futs to want GT over Ok State because of seeding.

We were talking about it in the thread when the brackets were first announced. GT is a matchup problem for us, Ok State was just a shorter less talented version of ourselves. No game is easy but give me OkState 100 times out of 100.

Going forward, if both teams make it I think Tenn is a better match up for us than GT.

Whatever the older douchebag's name is claims Evan Turner "has never been a good shooter", and cites the low number of 3pt made (18) as an example. Can't find stats that include the UCSB game, but thru the Big Ten Tourney, ET was 17 of 48 for 3 (.354). Seems perfectly respectable for a PG who leads the team in scoring and rebounding, faces double/triple teams all game, and has three guys who hit .380 or over from 3 range to pass to. Not to mention the 10'-15' jumpers he reels off when he gets some room. Most of what the analysts said seemed like they googled "Ohio State Basketball", and skimmed over the season stats to prepare. But, they picked the Buckeyes, so I'm cool with that.

I hope the Bucks can get in their rhythm and play their best. They've responded well after flat games in the past. I really thought they were just toying with UCSB at times. If DLaud can follow up a career game by playing tough against GT's big men, he can have a huge impact. OSU can't well afford to let GT set up an effective inside game. The best way to defend that is to prevent them from getting the ball inside. Hopefully, our size on the perimeter can keep them from getting easy set-up passes. I'll take a win any way it comes, but it's time for the Buckeyes to show the national audience what they are capable of.

I like our chances in this one with Turner coming off a bad game. GT can be a handful inside with Favors and Lawal, but we've got length, fouls, and good inside defense. They can't handle our guard play or the best player in the country. If we are in attack mode we could easily rack up some fouls on their big men. If we can rebound we should be good in this one.

Go Buckeyes. Can't wait. One game at a time.

I have a bad feeling about this game.

I hope I'm wrong.

After watching all the upsets and ET's last game how can you not?

I look for him to have a bounceback game and look for OSU to try and wear their big men out with our guard play. Go Bucks! Sometimes I think I'm more worried about the games than the players/coaching staff...
