1) Hi everyone,
as a part of my stay in Columbus during the fall, i will have to spend one night in an Hotel. I need that hotel to be near the airport (with a shuttle if possible). Does anyone know of any good hotel fitting that description ?

2) I would also like to know the good places to eat, hang out, buy a TV... in Columbus.

3) Could anyone give me some advice on network to get to be able to watch some football/basketball ?

Thanks a lot.

PS : Could a mod change the title of this thread to "Need some advice on living in Columbus".

Check out one of these 5 places. They are basically right next to the terminal building.

"Looking to stay close to the airport while you're in town? Right here on the grounds of Port Columbus you'll find five distinct options, each with a style all its own. With so many choices, there's sure to be something to fill your needs. In addition, all five offer 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport."

Edit for another good site to see location of hotels: http://www.metrotravelguide.com/hot...ID=509932863&visited=true&clickLogID=44913595

As far as the price is concerned, it's only for one night and need to be close to the airport (flight landing at 6 pm), so i can afford something around 50/60 euros (maybe a little more if i have too) wich, with the current exange rate, is around 90 bucks (does not mean i want to spend 90 bucks, if i can find a room for less i will take it).

I'm staying at OSU for 3 months starting mid september) but my flight land up at 6 pm while the office of the company renting me my place close at 5 pm. I basicly need to spend one night in an hotel before going to the place i'm renting. I just need it to be close to the airport.

Have some BPer pick up your key for you at the office (with your faxed OK), and you can then meet them and spend the hotel money on wings and beer at a good OSU bar...no?

where are you looking to see/travel to?
airport area hotels or easton likely are the best in that close area to port columbus.

There goes jimotis4heisman again. Always trying to rent out one his condos under the Broad Street bridge. I guess they are conveniently located close to the Arena District (i.e. hockey games).

where are you living?

bars are always good, if youre living in columbus in the fall study up on football (american football). if you cant meet nice young ladies at the largest university in america, well then.... yeah.

you should be able to get a tv easily. whether its at a target near campus or at walmart, best buy, circuit city etc.

a bar. unless by network you mean cable. if you mean cable then its likely either wow or time warner.

Thanks a lot.
